Insurance Women of Northern Virginia (IWNV) is a local chapter of the International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP). Our local chapter was founded in 1965, a time when it was challenging for women to break through the gender barriers of the insurance world.

The fellowship, encouragement and mentorship have been at the very heart of this organization, since it’s inception. We live the words of our collect, where we “…respect competition…” and we seek to “…become closer in friendship and understanding…”. Through our respectful interaction with one another, we are working towards sharing pertinent & current industry information, providing continuing education and offering a variety of professional development programs.
